Are you an experienced Tekla Detailer looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a talented Senior Tekla Detailer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-profile structural and architectural steelwork projects.

The Role

As a Senior Tekla Detailer, you will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings, ensuring projects move smoothly from design through to manufacture and installation.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Create high-quality Tekla Structures 3D models and fabrication drawings
✔ Produce assembly drawings, GA drawings, bolt lists, and material take-offs
✔ Liaise with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams
✔ Identify and resolve design clashes and technical challenges early
✔ Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards
✔ Support and mentor junior detailers
✔ Attend design and coordination meetings as required

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

✅ 5+ years' experience as a Tekla Detailer within the steelwork industry
✅ Strong knowledge of structural and secondary steelwork
✅ Advanced proficiency in Tekla Structures
✅ Solid understanding of fabrication processes, welding symbols, tolerances, and installation methods
✅ Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings and specifications
✅ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
✅ Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet project deadlines

Desirable

⭐ Experience mentoring or supervising junior detailers
⭐ Knowledge of BIM workflows and data exchange formats (IFC, DWG, etc.)
⭐ Familiarity with Eurocodes and British Standards
